WHAT IS TURMERIC

It is a deep yellowish-colored substance used to give flavor, color, and nutrition to edible foods. It is a relative of ginger and comes from the plant root. It has been used for thousands of years in India. It is also called “Golden Medicine.”

Use of Turmeric in Diabetes

Everybody knows about this disease. Several studies have been carried out for the cure of diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is more common in people with non-fatty liver disease. Use of 1 g–2 g according to the weight of the patient, can decrease fasting sugar to a great extent.

Liver Health and Turmeric

Turmeric has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory qualities. It can reduce swelling and improve liver function. This can help in the management of fatty liver, some kinds of liver cancer, liver cirrhosis, and hepatitis.
